Holy Wind
Looking back on where we’ve been through countless centuries
Ages of unconsciousness through all of his story
Prophets, seers, and sages have tried to show the way
Yet shadows of the darkness have dimmed the light of day
As the winds of illusion steer the course of humanity
Profit over people is the dominant reality
An endless chain of suffering in a system based on greed
A paradigm perpetuated by you and me
Holy wind blow into my mind and chase the clouds away
Holy wind blow through my life and bring a brighter day
Holy wind sweep across this land like a healing hand
Holy wind lift away the veils to reveal the divine plan
Living on this garden planet blessed so abundantly
More than enough for everyone yet so many still in need
Tyranny, war, and famine and horrible atrocities
Yet we think we’re so advanced with our high technology
Holy wind blow into my mind and cut right through this haze
Holy wind blow through my life and illuminate my days
Holy wind reach far and wide to every corner of this land
Holy wind send compassion deep into the heart of man
Fear is like a chilling mist that penetrates so deep
Into the tissues of collective mind maintaining this waking sleep
With the myth of separation at the core of our belief
There’s so little room for vision of a grander scheme
Holy wind blow into my mind and clear out this debris
Holy wind blow through my life take all that I don’t need
Holy wind like a sacred fire burn through the layers of density
Holy wind like a mighty gale turn the tide within humanity
Oh can you hear our plea
Has there ever been a greater need
For a miracle to come to be
For a higher power to intercede
Our earth’s being trashed and plundered while our air’s unfit to breathe
As the goals of self interest cast us further from the dream
Many live in luxury while others out on the street
Such is how the deck is dealt while we preach equality

Holy wind like a beam of light penetrate the darkest night
Holy wind like a righteous storm cleanse the error of our sight
People in their own neighborhoods don’t even feel safe
As ignorance feeds the appetite of prejudice and hate
While gross misuse of power is the game of heads of state
It would take a divine force to shift our chosen fate

Holy wind like a giant crash break free all prisoners of the past
Holy wind like a cosmic blast bring forth the change at last
Living out of balance from the seeds that we have sown
Disregard for other forms of life even our own
Thinking we’ve found the answers in inflatable theories
Yet the true power in this universe lies in that which is unseen
